Kick London (Richmond)

Richmond upon Thames is a historical part of south west London, England. It can been seen from a map that the borough is not entirely urbanised. There are some large areas of open space within the borough boundaries. The main suburban developments are Hampton and Teddington in the south, Twickenham, St Margarets and Whitton in the central area west of the River Thames and the Richmond-Kew-Mortlake-Barnes corridor across the loop of the river. It is the only London borough to straddle the Thames with districts on both sides of the river. (Information taken from Wikipedia.org)

Richmond was the first London Borough to catch the Kick London vision and was established in 2003, as an extension of Youth for Christ’s (YFC) vision of a ‘Kick’ football ministry for London.
Resources, advice and volunteers’ time were provided by YFC to enable the Kick London Trust to be established, with a clear mission and vision for London.

In 2004, Tom Rutter was appointed as full time Development Officer in Richmond, to establish football activities, working with schools and weekend academies, to develop football and life skills in young people.
