Denzil Dolley

Kick London (Croydon)

Denzil joined Kick London as a staff coach in September 2009, having worked as a part time coach since December 2008.

Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa in 1977, Denzil lived there until moving to London in 2005. He married Lee-Anne in January 2008 and they have been blessed with a healthy baby girl, Emily who was born in February 2009. Denzil has been a Christian for 3 years and is very passionate about sport (hockey and football in particular). He always knew that being a coach was part of God’s plan for his life. He believes this is his purpose in life, being able to do something he loves and at the same time letting people know about Jesus (in his opinion there’s no better job). Denzil is looking forward to expanding his coaching skills by working for Kick London.

Denzil has 12 years experience in coaching field hockey to men, ladies and juniors and 3 years experience in coaching a variety of sporting codes in schools, e.g. football, multi skills, basketball, rugby, korfball, fitness circuits.

He has been playing hockey since the age of 7 and has had the privilege of representing his country, South Africa in field hockey at the Champions Challenge 2001 (silver medalist), Commonwealth Games (Manchester 2002), Men’s World Cup 2002, Athens Olympic Games 2004 and Men’s World Cup 2006.
