Marek Czyz

Kick London (Croydon)

Marek is originally from Poland and brings a wealth of experience with him. He is a Level 3 (UEFA B) coach, who also specialises in goalkeeper coaching. He joined Kick London in April 2009 and has enjoyed being part of the team, working in schools and at other events.

He was born in May 1977 and grew up in Rzeszow, a city located 90 miles east of Krakow. He has always had a huge passion for sport, in particular football and started playing football in a professional football club in Poland at the age of 9. He always loved goalkeeping more than any other position on the football pitch.

Marek stopped playing football at the age of 18, when he started University.  Since then he has played in amateur and Christian leagues. He graduated from Business School in Poland and studied Financial Management at the WSB-National Louis University. He lived in Canada from 2001 to 2005. In 2005 his local church sponsored him to join Youth With A Mission (YWAM), a Christian organisation, in Barbados and other Caribbean islands. During the 20 months he worked there as a missionary, God opened doors for him to start his football coaching ministry. He had the opportunity to work with the National Sports Council and the Barbados Football Association.

Marek is also a Level 2 Goalkeeper coach and his hoping to achieve Level 3 (UEFA B) in Goalkeeping coaching in 2010.

Marek is really excited to see how the work of Kick London has the potential to touch young peoples’ lives and transform them through Christ’s love.

He is engaged to Michelle and is planning to get married in 2010.
