Andrew started working with Kick London in January 2008. He was born in Leicester, lived near Leeds but spent most of his life living in South London (since 1988). He’s a bit of a mixed bag as his Dad is from Northern Ireland and his Mum is Swiss. He now lives in Croydon with his wife Vicky (since Feb 2007).
Andrew has been a Christian since he was 10 and has always loved sport (football and cricket in particular) and knew that eventually he would work in the world of sport. Having studied at Liverpool University and received a degree in Health and Sport Studies, his first job was as a manager in retail where he learned lots of new skills, but knew it wasn’t for him. After two years ago he changed direction and started working with pre school children using sport to enhance their physical development.
He first got involved in football when at a Friday youth group at Streatham Baptist Church. It was there that he developed a love for playing football and has played ‘on and off’ for Lewin Sports FC since the under 16 level. Andrew knew from the time that he wanted to work in youth ministry in some capacity.
The work with Kick London fuses his three passions in life: young people, football and of course Jesus Christ! Andrew is looking forward to seeing what God will do through the work of Kick London in the future. To Him be the glory!
