Andy joined Kick London as a staff coach in September 2009, having worked as a sessional coach for the previous 2 years. Whilst studying sports science at university, Andy gained lots of experience assisting Kick London coaches in schools. He joined Kick London as a staff coach after graduating.
Andy grew up in Croydon, and has lived in the same house since he was born. He attended Woodside School as a youngster, and has frequent nostalgia attacks as he walks through the halls of his youth, now as a working adult!
Andy has always believed in God, and was taken to church as a child, but never really discovered what having a relationship with Jesus was until he was 18. Upon hitting a low in his life, he started questioning “Is there more to life than this?” ultimately finding that there was, and that greater purpose came through the love and grace of Jesus Christ!
Upon this revelation, windows of opportunity opened in abundance, one of which being a volunteer job with Kick London, which Andy snatched with both hands! His time with Kick London has aided his spiritual growth immensely, and his current passion now lies in spreading the gospel to whoever will hear it!
Andy plays football for his church team, New Life Christian Centre (1st XI), who he has been with for five years now, even playing for them before he was a Christian. Andy still holds the football ministry in high regard, as it was this which led him to his faith in Jesus.
Andy, therefore, understands the true power of football to the Kingdom of God, and intends to use it in the same way it affected him!
